Leaving Destin

Leaving Destin

There's those pesky high-rise hotels again (taking off into the beach is a little fun). We took off and Eglin approach kept us a 1000 down the beach for about 8 miles. The beach tour for free!

Boy, I sure am a great husband. Fresh seafood and a walk on the beach for my wife. All courtesy of her personal pilot.

Being in search of the $100 hamburger (flight time, gas, hamburger), and of course being a wonderful husband, I took Lebette to the beach for a little seafood for lunch last saturday. We had a great flight down. With all the rain lately the landscape is very green.

What first flight isn't complete without a little weather? Good thing she didn't see the lightning until after we got on the ground.
Oh, did I mentioned that after we got on the ground and were waiting for the rain to stop to get out.....the door leaked water all over her.

Despite the rain, we had a fun flight that lasted a little over 45 minutes. Several days later I took her on a night "tour" of Montgomery. Now I like this town, but the tour only took 15 minutes as we circle'd the "beltway" her. The night flight was fun, but I wouldn't let Lebette fire off the flash....since I did have to eventually land.

Monty finally convinced Lebette it was time to go flying, so on 23 Feb 05 off we went into the gloomy grey skies. As we took off the weather was nice, however, after being airborne for half an hour...in came the Alabama thunderstorms. Here is the Alabama river and rain shaft as we are on final back into Maxwell.
